Morning Prayer

I rise each morning with the sun
And face the day now just begun
With hope before this day is passed
A few steps further in my task.

I may not rise tomorrow strong
But in this day’s few hours long
I pray Your hand will guide my path
And bring me safe to home at last.

For all who see my walk today
Through me show them your will – a way
More truly of themselves to be
Not copying but inspired by me
