“Discerning Truth” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write # 7:8]
So much of what is done today is done on Internet –
“Fake news” is blatant, scaling out at levels not seen yet;
Gone is veneer of civil tone, and niceties in lies;
Conspiracies of silence shield the truth from public eyes.Such is the issue for the folks who produce what is seen;
From Kingdom-layer we are set free to fathom what has been;
One step removed is all it takes to see deceptions edge,
As we, upon the Kingdom-layer, sit watching from the ledge.As we, with Spirit-guidance, ask key questions now and then,
We’re treated to new views of things, as truth each party bends;
It keeps us from the cynic’s view, protects us from despair,
And gives us body-role to play in Christ, as we prepare –To be deployed in this or that, in ways quite unforeseen,
As world grinds down the best of us, from what each might have been;
Surprising how things all work out, amidst the evil there,
But somehow life moves on from here impacted by God’s care.The stories are horrific as they come and go each day;
They seem so unbelievable as we hear what folks say;
they’re either true in of themselves, or form fake news as well;
As mortals, it’s impossible veracity to tell.We see it in things people say, and things that people do;
We see it in their movements, changes in their points of view;
We see it when forms come apart, reform, and slowly change;
It’s differences in anything where we can see the range –Of possible, impossible, like icebergs in the sea –
While only ten percent of them are there for us to see;
What’s down below the surface is the part discerned by thought,
As they melt off, we’re left with water rising, ’spite the talk.Thanks Lord for this.
