“The Images Of Speed” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write # 7:9]
Photography, and poetry, along with novel tomes,
Use images in sharing yarns with folks who bide at home;
Sun Tzu says nature works quite well, to share perspective bright,
So soldiers, seeing world around, remember moves aright.Thus wind, and forest, fire, as well as mountains on their way,
Make images in minds of folks which seldom melt away;
Such images are used in art to call up subtle tones
Within a viewer’s mind, as each departs from peace-time homes.The role of propaganda is well known in modern times;
Yet still folks are deceived in deluge ’till the cynic finds
That one is all alone in sorting out the truth from fluff;
In tuning out the telly, Internet, minds say, “Enough!”It’s “Virtual reality” the oxymoron says,
Is what pervades our quiet lives, at tricking us it plays;
So what’s my role in all of this, add fuel to fake-news fire?
Or is one’s living of the truth, approach which is desired?In Scripture, we read world is filled with what just isn’t real,
As evil-one plays out his tricks to kill, destroy, and steal;
But Kingdom-layer, above the fray, the pin of pinwheel’s pin,
Gives place of respite for us all, where we new life begin.Thanks Lord for images we use, misuse, like everything;
And choices which are real for us, as we to others bring
In flesh and bone or story form, good news amidst the fray,
And share the truth, once given to us, that Kingdom’s here to stay.Thanks Lord for this.
