“The Interactive Movement” (Is.40:28;Gal.6:9;Is.35:3; Heb.12:12;James 1:25;1 Cor.13:13) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write #5:5]

Lord, what I hear now in Sun Tsu’s account
Of art of war, is focus of amounts
Of insight into heaven’s ways of war
’Gainst satan and his ilk – what body’s for.

He cites, five notes of music, colors five;
Five tastes as well, as food keeps us alive;
Then says that there are two parts in the field
Of warfare, which will make old satan yield.

For sound, and sight, and taste, each mix to shades –
So too with warfare, endless ways are made
From interactions of two simple facts –
That “Orthodox” and “not” here inter-act –

In such a way that streams of action flow –
Two feet we have, but everybody knows,
First one, then other forward, journeys make –
In variations infinite we take –

A stream of endless trips into the world;
With Orthodox as base, we face the swirl,
Then swiftly close some matter with a hit
Of unexpected force – of care, some gift –

Which melts a heart of stone, brings Jubilee;
Throws satan out the door, and sets folks free;
Brings salt, and life, and light back into play;
And opens Kingdom-layer as place to stay.

This interplay of tension and release –
Of drawing back the bow to power increase,
Then letting go, some shaft of loving care,
Is infinite – new cycles are prepared.

Our only danger is our giving up –
Of walking off some field when things get tough;
“Is this for us, or them?” You often ask
When viewing choices such, amidst some task.

Lord, thanks for looking after that ahead,
For You can see “A way” when hope is dead;
When acts of love, of caring for some-one
Emerge, and cost of everything’s begun.

Thanks for these days of preparation now –
Without such insight, training You allow,
We’d not be fit to be of use to You;
Thanks for this bit of work You’d have me do.

Thanks for this Lord.
