“Patient Persistence” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write – #3-4]
Head-on in anger’s not the way
To take a city – you will pay
Too high a price with nothing gained –
At end of battle walls remain.God knows this too, hence His approach
With project-Abe He then had coached
His fledgling people in their fight
For cosmic justice – love, done right.Then Jesus, as His sleeper-play,
Picked up the ball – expansion day
Had come at last – good news for all –
First Jews, then Gentiles – order tall.For satan’s gang was no small force;
Still isn’t, so God held the course;
Patient persistence wins the day;
Rejecting anger is the way.For stooping to the other’s tacts
Quite stupid is – so don’t attack
Your way or his on battle day –
O’erwhelm with love and care – God’s way.Cool wisdom, up on Kingdom-layer,
With Jesus, leader in that chair
Of royalty – long-view as His
Can pull back fast in warfare biz.No fight, no siege, no lengthy ops;
With firm insistence on He walks,
Right over foe, at weakest points –
Such patient ways our God anoints.Thanks Lord for this.
