“Five Ways To Know” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write – #3-10]

Sun Tsu is right in his five ways to know
Who wins the battles on the earth below
The Kingdom-layer, pin of pinwheel’s pin,
Amidst the constant world of human sin –

1 – Look which side knows if time and circumstance
Are right for action – giving love a chance
To have its impact, ways which Christ will use
To winsome be as He makes satan, lose.

2 – Check who’s aware of “Many and the few” –
Who knows what’s best to do what he must do;
Like Christ, who’ll use one word, one touch of care,
To melt the hardest heart, He finds down there.

3 – Ask where cohesion reigns throughout the ranks –
Christ’s body one, for which we all give thanks,
While satan’s selfish isolation tears
The fabric of humanity – “Who cares?”

4 – Ask who’s prepared – Christ has the Kingdom-layer
For R-and-R, where folks can get prepared,
And learn to do with grace, as Spirit’s arm,
New skills of life which deal in health not harm.

5 – Ask, who has leader much superior,
Unfettered by constraints inferior
To what’s required to seize the victory,
So in the end of battle’s Jubilee!

Lord, now I start to see Your role in this –
Far more profound than “floating angels bliss
Amidst the clouds, oblivious to sin,
And tragic mess humanity is in.”

Lord, thanks for opening up this view of life
Sun Tsu articulates, though not quite right;
He’s twisted truth, which can be straightened out
To show what’s going on – without a doubt.

Thanks Lord for this.
