“Blessed Assurance” ( ) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write – #2-13]
Sun Tzu states well, the role of boss –
The General, who’s whim can toss
The lives of men upon the heap,
Like Waterloo (there, three men deep –And solid three square miles they lay –
The dead and wounded from that day
When guns fell silent – carnage wild
With agony, in nations’ style). The fate of all lies in His hand –
Assuring us, He understands
That He must keep the Kingdom safe,
That all find peace within that place. But also, once the foe’s engaged,
He understands, as wisdom’s Sage,
That lives and livelihoods of all
Are in His hand – redeemed from fall.Lord, thanks for helping us to see
Our roles today, on bended knee –
To be responsive to Your call,
That Kingdom-life might be for all. Thanks Lord for this.
