“Of Linkages And Metaphors” (1 Cor.12; Rom/12:5; 2 Cor.5:17; John 15; Rom.6:3) [Reflections on Watchman Nee's Normal Christian Life ] [Pandemic series]

New life in Christ on Kingdom-layer;
Baptisms burial in prayer;
Our having died (humanity)
When placed in Christ; we also see –

Our resurrection (now as one);
Our body-life that’s just begun;
“Abide in Me” (relates to death)
“And I in you” – raised up with breath.

Confession of a life that’s new;
Creation’s end; all things made new;
So many themes all interweave
In chapter-notes of Watchman Nee.

No wonder it’s confusing for
Most newbies as they hit the door
Of churches – facets of a jewel
Reflect perspectives of renewal.

Who cares? What’s relevant to you?
Grafted to Christ which gives you fuel?
Or He to you? We different are,
And come-by-chance (some ways bazaar).

For me, O Lord, the unity
Of life of our humanity,
Brought forward in Pandemic’s wake,
Is aspect key for me – I take –

It as instructive – “All have died
In Christ” – all took that merry ride
Along with old creation, hence
All rose with Him, at Easter, hence –

We’re free to buy in now (or not),
Get on with life which Christ has brought
To all of our humanity,
Lived out that we might truly be –

What God, Creator, had in mind
When he invented humankind;
Lord, thanks for Nee’s instructive thought
Which bids us take up life we’ve got.

Thanks Lord for this.
