“One's Soles” (Job 2:7) [Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Job sub-series - # Job 2:7] [And Pandemic Series]
One’s soles – if one can’t get around
When years have come and gone,
It’s serious to one and all –
To life one’s soles belong.So special care we take each day
Ensuring we can walk,
By seeing to the soles of feet
That we might go and talk.Pandemic’s “Lockdown of the world”
Has shut us all indoors
As well as what old satan did
To Job – involving more.For Job’s three friends turned up one day,
At least they all could come
To visit Job, who sat at home,
’Till satan’s test was done.Now, no one can go visit “Job”,
Or “Grandma”, “Newborn kids”;
So when sores hit soles of Job’s feet,
Mobility it rid –Job of – a pain in troubled times –
We need support of folks;
At least we’ve got the Internet’s
Sweet flow of endless jokes!For jokes help medicine to work
We read in Proverb’s line;
Jokes come from people that way bent
Who have such twisted minds –That they see down as up, while we
Contented are to be
Here viewing mirrored-life, reversed –
The life such jokesters see.Thanks Lord for this.
