“No Protracted Wars” (Romans 8) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write #2B – #2]

Protracted war will wear you down,
So hit and run, boots on the ground;
Do preparations long before
You venture out assignment’s door.

It matters not if love or hate
Is uppermost – for it’s too late
To cut your time through early plans
Once you’ve set out for foreign lands.

For you’ll get stalled by fences, walls –
Obstructions laid, both deep and tall,
Will stall you out while meter runs
On taxi-cab, depleting funds.

So cut the drain by planning first;
Good training given, avoids the worst
That happens when green troops are met
By those well-trained as one can get.

Lord, it has cost me so much loss
Just finding all this out – the cost
Is so much harder to find out
The hard way (what “Big Love’s” about).

“Stu, that’s okay, that is your part –
To find all this before folks start
To step into some role I give,
Once they on Kingdom-layer live –

“And they set out, as body-part,
To do some task – in love, embark
On ways unseen, until too late
To stop them – actions for My sake.

“So see your learnings are passed on
Before your time on earth is gone;
Just ’bide in Me, and I in you,
And all this work, in Me, you’ll do.”

Thanks Lord for this.
