“Levy Or Levee” (Mt.25:3-8; Eph.5:18)[Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write #2B – #4]
If Levee or Levy, don’t let it run dry
For resource is central, Sun Tsu tells us why
If you chase resources their time after time
Resource-pool is emptied, and you won’t do fine.Thus Paul cautions also – best “be being filled”
With Spirit’s resources, lest engine is stilled
For lack of resources, that’s gas for your plane
You run out of petrol, it’s you that’s to blame.That’s true in our warfare with focus of love
For it takes resources midst world’s push and shove
To step out for Jesus when he bids us to
Make room for his acting with power through you.So, Lord, what I’m hearing is “best be apprised
Of needs in big picture if we’re to survive
It’s not just in warfare where smashing’s the goal
But also in actions of making folks whole.“You mess up resourcing, it’s there that you learn
How needed is caring for resource you’ve earned;
As one or as many, mistakes help us see
How best to get resource, thus victory see.“No way you will learn this at gut-level, Stu,
Unless you get out there and do what you do;
It’s there that there’s evil – those power-play moves
Which Jesus is crushing – such actions He’ll use.“For He’s a re-cycler of goof-ups and sin,
He doesn’t expect you’ll first victory win;
That’s not what’s expected – get back on your feet,
And turn that hard lesson to victory’s sweet.”Thanks Lord for this.
