“Let The Children Come To Me” (Proverbs 10:1; 1:4; Mt.14:19) [Spanish Bible -Proverbs Series #10:1]
A pero sabio is a well-trained dog;
hijo sabío does not walk in fog;
hejo necio speaks of Chambers’ quote –
“He is no fool…” was a line he wrote.Who is no fool? Who releases first,
What he can’t keep, though his life’s much worse;
Why is that done? So he can hold onto
What he can’t lose – thus he is no fool.But in this proverb, hejo necio,
Is such a fool, so his life he blows;
If he’s sabío, he delights his dad;
If necio, makes his mother sad.For disappointment fills her hopeful breast –
Watching him grow she can’t this fact address;
Maybe in time for mom her son will see –
Turn, change his ways, then sabío be.Lord, there’s such sadness buried in these words –
Down through the ages are these parents heard;
As we look out across the world today,
What words of hope can pictured-words convey?“Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Don’t be despairing, context now address;
Not all are motivated from within –
‘Stick and dog biscuit’ can new life begin.“pero sabío – ‘Sit’, and ‘Shake a paw’,
‘Speak’, now ‘Roll over’, bring out folks’ applause;
Life is for simple folk, not just the cream –
Help those without the smarts to be redeemed.”Lord, that’s so helpful, help my eyes to see
Those kids around us who still need to be
Helped into living, which can bring such joy,
Savoring life on earth, as Jesus’ boy.Thanks Lord for this.
