“How Jesus Works…” [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write # – 1:13]

So how does Jesus do his work each day
(And night of course, while we all hit the hay)?
Sun Tsu gives clues, though his use is reverse
To Jesus ways, (destruction he’s rehearsed).

But Jesus, with his body-folks, just smiles,
And hits with love, while caring all the while
That men are saved, with women, kids, and stuff;
He bides His time, ’till folks say, “Hold, enough!”

He’s active though, to wear down enemy –
Splits off resource so he can’t army feed;
Disturbs his rest; splits up tight unity;
Turns up unbidden, sees what he can see.

Where they are weak, He flaunts His loving ways;
Where they are strong, exhaust them many days;
If they’re at ease, He slips in loving touch;
Humility makes them strut way too much.

Christ’s purpose there? Through us to bring defeat
To satan’s ways, help people be released
To live their lives on Kingdom-layer with Him –
Pulled from the mud, a second chance begin.

All done through love, reverse of selfishness
In all of life, with Eden’s wistfulness;
So much to gain as we join in His life
On Kingdom-layer – as He brings peace to strife.

Lord, thanks for this new view of what You do,
Inviting us to do such work in You,
As You go forth, take on old satan’s ways
Through us; as body-parts, live out our days.

Thanks Lord for this.
