“problemas familiars – a Christmas prayer” [Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Lk.1:26-39]
“Don’t be blinded by the tumult so you cannot see for real –
Christ was born into a stable where the mess each one could feel;
There’s no antiseptic manger, and no palliative care;
Christmas message, now as ever – “If problemas, God is there”.That’s the point of Christmas story – Christ is like a software patch
Guarding us against attackers; help’s for free, there is no catch;
For our problem’s not with Jesus, more desire to go our way,
Then complain forever loudly, ’bout manure amidst the hay.Overwhelmed with tumult ’round us, we no longer see for real –
Jesus there amidst problemas, “I can help you better feel –
Just step onto Kingdom-layer (pin of pinwheel, if you wish),
It’s a quiet place for standing – gift from heaven – in the midst –Of the turmoil roiling ’round us; quiet center midst the storm;
Problemas familiares, hearth of heaven, and settle warm;
Lord, within this Christmas season, open hearts and minds anew,
That as tumult rages ’round us, we find peace and hope renewed.Thanks Lord for this.
