reventará las vasijas ( Will Break The Old Crocks) [Spanish Jerusalem Bible Series - Luke 5:33-39 -B]

I love the Spanish mix of this –
Las vesijas – I can’t resist
To point out what new wine will do
To “old crocks”, when filled up with brew.

For that’s the point – good news for each
Is like at key to those who teach
The newbies locked who can’t get out,
Who need to release before they shout –

Of Jubilee – prisoner’s release!
Of that good news, such will not cease
To share with friends out on the “net” –
Fishers of men, who don’t forget.

But new wine, now for them so fresh,
Has edgy taste of bitterness
To those who tasted “new” before,
Which now has aged (preferred the more).

But here it is – the “Old crocks” there,
Who blow apart beyond repair
When new wine has replaced the old
(Like pewter plates replacing gold).

So newbies “Tear” and old crocks “Break”
Don’t mix them up, for Goodness’ sake;
Their roles in life quite different are –
Keep new and old distinct, by Gar.

Lord, this is helpful, yes indeed –
Four, twelve, and seven-two, in need –
Formed up to use new cloth, new wine –
’Till both have aged, and it’s their time –

To separate and let the new
Engage the gospel from their view –
key to each lock – some missing piece –
Which opens lock – prisoners released.

Thanks Lord for this.
