“Logistics For A Million Men” (Mt.20:16) [Sun Tsu First Half Re-Write # – 1:7]
Two decades back a healer came;
Five weeks he stayed to heal the lame,
The halt, the blind (we creak of around
Our latter days where hurts are found).One big surprise church-center found,
Was how much TP from the town
Was flushed away, for twenty-K
(And more) folks drove from far away.Logistics, discipline that is,
Unnoticed in our daily biz,
Is suddenly a factor huge
When millions must a toilet use.So which side better biffies make,
For all their soldiers to partake
Of their ablutions, months on end,
If soldiers to the field one sends?If biffies are disgusting, then
They won’t be used by troops of men,
So quickly sickness and disease
Sweeps over them on putrid breeze.It’s not just biffies, all of life
Must be addressed for men who fight –
Support; rewards and punishments;
Plus ranks and duties, here are meant.When young, I was the “Washroom man”
For kids at camp – I cleaned “The can”
Those were my orders, “Healthy kids
Are up to you, as Jesus bids –“Them come to camp to learn of God;
Your part’s supportive – do your job
As to the Lord, as Bible says,
Health’s up to you through summer days.Another carried out the slops,
While cleaners used their brooms and mops;
Dishwashers, folks with hammers, nails,
Worked there, as those with water pails.So which side has the best supports?
Best structures? Which, as system, works?
Supply lines? Mess tents? Office space?
Utility’s supportive base?To me, one’s motivation here
Is critical – my boss made clear
That “End objective” focus held
For one and all – supports as well.Which speaks to me of “Body life”
For all Christ’s people – out of sight
Is quite okay, it matters not –
In Christ, supports come out on top.Thanks Lord for this.
