“New Freedom –Yea!”

New freedom comes at last for me these days
As test-results come back, and each one says,
“Just getting older, it’s my guess – who knows?
So persevere – move onward ’gainst His foes.”

So Lord, thanks for this brand-new day today,
In which I get to sing, and dance, and play
My role in larger scope of Body-life,
Here in this place, each day, ’fore it is night.

Each day is one to married be with her;
Each day as parent, grandpa – so defer
Too-early-exit from this scene, relationships
With kith and kin – not have to call it quits.

Some time for us to Kingdom-layer explore;
Move into Body-life, find what our roles are for;
And savor life here in this autumn time;
Let doctors do their work, as I do mine.

Thanks Lord for this.
