“Military Incompetence 1 – Heebie-Jeebie Blues” (Psalm 116:7; Isaiah 30:15; Matthew 20:32; 26:62-3; Mark 11; 23) [Sun Tsu series 10 – 2A]

The second set of slide-rule marks
Are wacko leaders at the start
Who make mistakes, committing troops
To situations worse than “Oops!”

Idea here is not just these
But matching errors, if you please,
With first set of some context bad
Without which it would still be sad.

Sun Tzu then looks at errors six
Apart from nature’s nasty tricks,
Before the two get inter-mixed,
To see how factors should be fixed.

“Ants in your pants” expression here
Of those who rush in, when it’s clear
That ten to one against is bad
As starting odds – so outcome’s sad.

Not only will they run to fight,
They’ll run away, for it’s not right
To place one’s men in hopelessness –
“Desertion” links with “Meaningless”.

Lord, I find the reverse for me –
For I run in when “Need” I see;
I’m hearing, “Bide in Me, there Stu,
Avoid such haste in what you do –

“For I know better, clearly see
The odds in your reality;
I factor in the context too –
So I know better what to do.

“That is My role – Field Marshall type –
I tend My flock; when there’s a fight,
I help keep focus on the foe –
And hold you back from “Tally Ho!”

Lord, that’s where Psalm helped me out then –
Like pup by fire – “Return again
Unto your rest, it’s all okay;
Just stick with Me in coming fray.”

Indeed it was – You kept from haste,
Reaction rash; reduced the waste;
Lord, thanks for moving me in this
From heebie-jeebies to Your kiss.

Thanks Lord for this.
