“They Will Not Work For You” [Sun Tzu Series – #8-2B] (Matthew 26:41; acts 8:18; Luke 4:14-25; 13:32; John 16:13)
You’ll find they will not work for you,
If you don’t have a flexi-view –
A penetrating knowledge of
Adaptive stance from up above.Nine adaptations he spells out –
Says, get a grip on these, you lout,
Or you’ll not comprehend the ways
“Terrain” is used, as in this case.If you’re familiar with the land,
Or circumstance you understand,
It does no good, if you can’t turn
It to advantage – there you’ll churn –Around in data, plans, and mess,
And deal with folks’ uneasiness;
The soldiers know if you know well
Jacques view above, for they can tell –First, if you see (they further see?);
Then, if you’ll let suggestions be
A part of thinking, plans, and ways
To “Get her done” in coming days.“Terrain’s” no use if you don’t know
How best to blend it in the flow
Of battle, both in one’s defense,
And also when fight’s quite intense.For flexi-thinking is not “Once”,
But one’s approach – from fact to hunch,
There’s lots of use that can be made
Of both, in plans which you have laid.Lord, You have walked this world as well;
They say You went right into hell
Obeying Father up above;
Result? The triumph of His love.As Easter comes again in weeks,
And we reflect on life we seek,
We think we know – “The British way
Is Kingdom-life, so course we’ll stay.”But that’s not what I’m hearing here –
“Stay flexible; I’ll make it clear;
Remember dog that’s trained, will sit
’Till owner says, ‘Go fetch that stick’.“What happens if a car comes by?
Say, ‘drop’ to dog or he might die;
So too with troops – keep bigger view;
For once they see, they’ll die for you.”Thanks Lord for this.
