“The Start Of Business” [Body-Life Series] (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)

Nee said, first part of normal life
In Christ is comprehending right
What’s going on – big picture stuff
And where we fit (can be quite rough).

That’s what Paul laid out in his book
About Your task, and how it looks
Two thousand years in – Oh my God!
We sure are slow to see how odd –

Life outside Eden looks today;
Meanwhile, on task You chip away;
Do work through us (though we’re clued out);
God’s “Master-Plan” – what You’re about.

The second part (Where we fit in)
Before Your work through us begins –
“That’s Bible Stu”; “Apostle-task
To giver-group as you have asked.”

Third, impetus must come from You,
Not us, as worldly folk would do,
And be maintained, sustainably –
“You can do zilch apart from Me”.

Fourth, glory must go to you, God,
Which, up ’till now seemed somewhat odd –
But now I see – be part of task
Christ does through body-life, as asked.

Lord, this amazes me, indeed!
For this, for all, You came to bleed –
That we could enter in Your task,
And leave behind our mixed-up past.

As I review these words right now,
“Discerning spirits” is the “how” –
“Ask questions; seek and ascertain
The place “Ka-boom” will freedom gain.

Those “weights and sins” just melt away;
I lighter feel each passing day,
For ways to circumvent the blocks
Unneeded are – on layer we walk.

The world’s built up a bag of tricks
To circumvent the way life’s fixed
(By letting God our center be;
At Your disposal, come to Thee).

Lord, thanks for slowing me down too,
As truth of this is all so new;
You fix our lives as we progress
Through life, and You our beings bless.

“Stu, it’s okay, just push on through;
It’s all okay – I’m here with you;
Remain in Me as others do;
For you, I do make all things new.

Thanks Lord for this.
