“Christmas”

A solstice-party (more or less),
Not Saturn’s day like church’s mess –
We had our part-y, one of mix;
Two decades hence all will be blixed.

For Christ-less Christmas is a joke –
Tradition, kin, that gone we’re broke –
So sales drop off, no year-end spike,
New need for Christ’s star in our night.

That’s here, of course, not China, or
South Hemisphere where people pour
Into the churches – low percent
But “Absolute” is what is meant.

No worship here on Christmas day?
That’s one before the “Boxing Day”,
Which means more sales, retailers end
Of fiscal year – “Perhaps amend –

The situation” – desperate mess
Under façade of blessedness;
Of course it’s not, the West is doomed,
With conflagration coming soon.

I’m tired of life where rules are bent
Beneath facade – with bad intent;
Lord, it’s a challenge I can see,
As I sort out Your role for me.

“Stu, you can see ahead just now,
What’s end of what is here allowed;
You’re all a part, some place in mix,
So seek what’s near at hand to fix.

“Don’t just accept the slovenly,
Or bent, and broken you can see;
Step up and overcome the dark,
As lights of world – here, do your part.

Okay, thanks for this Lord.
