“Worth Doing Twice” [Reflections On Book - 100 Ideas That Changed Graphic Design Stephen Heller and Veronique Vienne - #78]
Recycling hymns, a fad today,
Lets hymns live on that had their day,
As old and young respond once more
To word of God, as done before.It jars nostalgic types to life,
As route goes straight, then veers to right;
While newbies find afresh old things,
And hear once more what future sings.Recycled fads, and schools of art,
With “This Old House” (recycled part
That comes to life when plumbing’s switched),
Each comfort us – in what is ditched.We find tradition has its place,
From Christmas trees to the veils of lace;
A place there is in history
When joy in past can present be.Thanks Lord for this.
