“Re-Configuring Life”

“One kid – not all – or life quite silly gets;
Just one engage – forget about the rest;
There’s others there, your actions ripple out;
Get serious, have a focus in your route.”

But it winds down – too detailed that for me;
“Ach, don’t engage all that, for you can’t see;
Each question asked by others – answer those;
Take his request for prayer – for now he knows –

“Or can, at least, that’s none of your concern;
Just do your work, from Scriptures you can earn
Your daily bread, help others in their quest
For life ’round here – engage like all the rest”.

Lord, what I hear is, “Finish up your work;
You’ve projects there – engage, don’t be a jerk;
For life exists for all, and you are one;
Just do your part, and meantime have some fun.

“Your inter-action’s there for written game,
And talk with me – engagement’s just the same
As language work – God first, and then engage
With other folks – My words – to others, Sage.”

Lord, as I ask if this is me – engaged
Once more on task – then think it’s all the rage
Until You say, “Move on now, Stu” I ask –
How this fits in with Apostolic task?

“That’s simple, Stu, do ‘This and that’ for Me
Engage, then ‘Boom’– both you and as they’re freed
To move along; your insight grows with age,
So in the end there’s content for the page.

“It’s not that tough; your pride’s the toughest part;
So head on down, lest I your task must start;
It all works out – let go of earthly care;
Engage with Me, in intercessor’s prayer.”

Thanks Lord for this.
