“Checklists” [Reflections On Ronald B. Tobias’ Book 20 Master Plots Series – General – #7/7]

My Writing Index does this well –
Survey and in-depth source that’s swell,
At any time along the trip
Cuts overlapping points to zip.

So how do we lay out the plot?
The “Write In One Month” guys have got
A sure-fire way for me to go;
This other stuff? Low need to know.

I well recall my research prof
Said, “Watch yourself – don’t get thrown off;
Your writing history’s the key –
You mess with that, you’re history.”

One other prof said, “That’s for kids;
You’ve grown already – now be rid
Of obligation to make tweaks
To what works well – just keep it neat.

So, in my case, I’ll just review;
Take look around for concepts new;
Bad eye, so I don’t read much now;
It’s book-tapes heard – that I’ll allow.

Thanks Lord for this.
