“What Goes Around, Comes Around” [Reflections On Book - 100 Ideas That Changed Graphic Design Stephen Heller and Veronique Vienne - #64]

“Is nothing sacred anymore?”
We often hear, when we abhor
Some treasured piece of wherewithal;
Get stomped by cattle in the stall.

Of course such graphics go too far –
Quite often done, and quite bizarre;
But parody is hard to do
If one does more than spoof a fool.

For often we’re the target viewed
By artist’s spoof – that life, renewed,
Can rise above some common trait,
Revealing it with different take.

Sometimes such views get in a ditch,
With views of women, men, in which
Their roles are typecast, not set free;
Then they get viewed as parody.

Thanks Lord for this.
