“100 Great Ideas” [reflections on a sister book to 100 great design ideas – in photography]

I saw a book (I almost bought)
A sister-book to one I’ve got;
I’ve even poemized the first,
But for this one I’ve little thirst.

I ask, “Now why would it be thus?
I love the first – it’s little fuss
To buy it, shove it on the shelf,
Put in the queue – for little else –

Would put it all in queue for me
The format’s fixed – I plainly see
Component parts to spell it out;
But “Photo-Index” gave me doubt –

I’d even need to prime with this –
Though “graphic arts” book helped me fix
My knowledge gap so I could see
“Augmented text” ahead for me.

So I don’t need to grow this way;
Fill in the gap? Un-uh, I’d say;
My index-system works just fine;
Besides, such gold is from my mine.

Thanks, Lord, for holding me in check;
For helping me to stop – and yet
Affirming gold I’ve mined my way,
As I drove back from city-day.

This braid indeed lets me move on;
And Kingdom-layer where we belong
Allows us to stand back in You,
And bigger picture over-view.

Thanks Lord for this.
