“What If I Overloaded”

I think I overloaded her
With too much stuff – she would prefer
To learn a little at a time –
Step one, step two – walk up the line.

Lord, as I stand back, think on this,
I think that’s right – could not resist
To give full picture (not just part,
And hold the rest – the teacher’s art).

I’m hearing, “You’re ditch-pushing man,
Not teacher-type – do what you can;
She’s stuck – just poke around some more;
Discern her spirit, get the score –

So I can set her free, not you;
Give Me some room to work – I do
The heavy lifting – “This and that”
Is all – as satisfaction’s cat.”

So what of cake’s complexity?
There’s part I think I now can see –
Three types of cake beneath the spread
Of icing – that is language-bed.

So maybe cardboard ’neath one half,
With icing on it – like a raft
Upon the waters – lifted out
To show what base is all about.

Then place it back to hide that base;
Save it for later, just replace
The cover – more like overheads
In days of yore – by chunks their fed.

So “layers” could be good for that
(In Photoshop) – you’ll never lack
The tools for showing bit-by-bit
The parts which complex are for it.

“Remember, Stu, ditch-pushing task –
One person’s problem, should they ask,
Is not another’s – tool slides in
To do one task – ‘Where to begin?’”

Lord, that’s what synergy does well –
That teaching-task I think is swell –
I’m hearing, “Make the tools to teach
Such frightened ones within your reach”.

Hmmm, thanks for that, Lord – will comply
In decade hence, before I die,
Or find myself mind-boggled man,
Who thought he could – in You, I can.

Thanks Lord for this.
