Su Corazón” [Spanish Series]

“Might as well follow your heart”, it’s said
’Cause time flows on ’till day you’re dead;
Then it’s in-finite, that’s in store,
Seen and unseen up to that door.

Life in the the mean-time quite finite is –
“Language and photos” – is that your biz?
Ultimate tangle of borderlands;
Once you engage, you under-stand.

Rich the rewards, cross-border life,
Though quite obtuse to kids and wife;
Half-understood, as bridge to shore;
Few make the crossing, all strange abhorred.

You may know two, but half as well
As those who on each shore now dwell;
Blessing you bring is from mid-stream –
Half of each part, though whole is seen.

Lord what I’m hearing is, “Where’s your shore?
What is your base for ever-more?
Who do you bridge from mean to mean,
Mixed in your heart – your in-between?”

Lord what I’m thinking is euro-space –
Scotch, English, Irish as core of base;
Welsh, French, and German, Canuck, of course;
Other side’s Cree – my heart’s resource.

Now there is Spanish (romance that is),
Feeding to English – Germanic’s fizz;
What a concoction – deep resonance,
Stirs in my heart in Spirit’s dance.

Greek feeds in too, with Hebrew twist
Through sacred Scripture; and Celtic mist;
What is “Canadian”? Where all is mixed?
Kingdom above – where You have kissed –

Me with Your love – input and out –
Held up this vision through years of doubt,
Limits to action – for Kingdom’s sway,
Enables life’s connecting way.

Lord for this vision of life below,
Viewed from this layer that I might know
Where I fit in, and where I don’t;
Freeing my ‘self’, which is my won’t.

As I step in with camera now,
Post-office gift by You allowed,
Not for the purpose the others have
Rather, as a bridge between – as salve.

Thanks Lord for this.
