"The Place Of Surface Growth" [Module #48] (Mark 6:48-52)
Just surface growth will work okay at times,
For crowds demand fast growth, and thinks that’s fine;
It is, but crops yield seed at harvest time;
When they’re mature – then further they’re refined.Disciples thought they understood ’bout power –
“You work the crowd, be king within the hour”;
Christ fed them all, then went to focus gain;
The twelve rowed on – then needed help again.So Christ helped out, let them be where they were;
Then on that base moved them along from there –
Picnic response; the boat; the chat next day,
All laid a base – next year was Easter day.In those sad days when Christ was out of time
To teach His men, when they would be refined,
He knew they’d use what He had taught that day,
When they returned – then they’d be on their way.Thanks Lord for this.
