"Adversity Of Craft"  [Reflections on Chris Orwig's Book Visual Poetry - Chapter 4 - 3] (Ps.138:7-8; 31:7-8; Isaiah 53; Matt.10:3-14; 2Cor.4:7-18; Eph. 6: 10-18 )

You’re going to have adversity
Come on your head – it has to be,
For life imperfect is by day,
And evil has its darker way.

But how will you respond to this?
Sit whining lonely in the ditch?
Get up, press on, get ’cross the line
Of marathon – say, “Doing fine”?

We’d like a softer easier way,
And in the limelight constant stay;
Have cash roll in and accolades,
Not gators in the Everglades.

Wake-up, en-garde, for dawn is here;
Today has tasks, that much is clear;
So wash your face, and brush your hair –
The world awaits your gift of care.

Thanks Lord for this.
