"To Open The Eyes Of The Blind" [Reflections on Chris Orwig's Book Visual Poetry - Chapter 3 - Intro] (John 12:35-36;9:24; Matthew 11:4-6; 15:13-14; 6:22-23; 5:14-16 )
“Who is blind as is my servant?” Asked Isaiah in his word;
Who can heal the blindness ’round him, boosting what is seen and heard?
If we’re blind to world around us, how can light impact the gloom?
With no candle in the darkness, we just stumble ’bout the room.Learn to see, so in your seeing you’ll help other folks to see;
At the base is change in being – shows in our photography;
When we gain a new perspective, point of view, then focus in –
What we see brings change in being – filter – shift can then begin.As the dawn now starts the morrow, daily miracle of light
Brings to life our little corner turning on our gift of sight;
Help us, Lord, to grow in stature, and our awe at world we’re in;
Saturate our world with color, deeper life in us begin.Thanks Lord for this.
