"Strait Street"  [Module #30] (Luke 8:1-3)

From four (two pairs) to twelve the shift was made;
First training mission tried, no plans were laid
Except to travel ’round the local scene,
With twelve, plus womenfolk providing means.

Like Herod’s chief of staff who had a wife,
Who came with them (before the time of strife);
It was in fact, a small community
In Holy Land, where all this came to be.

So too for us as we get on our feet –
Apostle-like, we shift to twelve and see
The situation’s new, with scope-increase;
Like fans, opponents talk and do not cease.

But this is still foundation-building task –
Build slow and solid as they questions ask;
Strait Street’s created by more people ’round;
External crowd-demand is what abounds.
