"The Growth Factor"  [Module #36] (Matt. 13:24-30; 32-52; Mark 4:26-29)

Growth’s what happens when a seed takes root;
Automatic shift from seed to fruit;
Sleep or wake – no matter what your state,
You can bank on growth if seed can “take”.

Kingdom growth is like that mustard seed –
Starts as tiny, ends as massive tree;
Birds find shelter in its branches thin;
Growth’s what happens when new life begins.

Kingdom growth is like that bit of leaven –
In a batch of dough – a taste of heaven;
Warm from oven; staff of life indeed;
Bread of life, produced to meet each need.

Kingdom growth is like that – weeds can grow,
Just as crop we in the spring will sow;
Just a nuisance plant – no fruit on head,
Bound to compost heap or fire instead.

Stories planted in our hearts can grow,
As we grow in culture which we know;
Sometimes stories come in human form –
Good and evil both grow – that’s the norm.

Best prepare the soil, give see the chance
To take hold, establish, then advance;
Once each seed-word then established is,
Let it grow, and wait ’till harvest is –

Here – then gather up the useless weeds;
Separate them from the better seeds;
Harvest then good seed into your barns –
Such is Kingdom-life, with all its charms.
