"Detachment" [Gross and Shapiro - Tao Of Photography - Reflections - pp.29-33]
Dyslexia’s a gift to me,
Provides a multi-view of scene
At once, which shows a better place,
From which to shoot by means of grace.Locked down upon some standard way
Removes the range, by which to say
The words I’m s’posed to share with you,
Through camera-working, talking too.So I detach – informed, not bound
By rules or guidelines – where I’ve found
By sight some better place to be,
Conveying such reality.It’s not that reason has no place –
Before and after in my case,
Is where it fits – first train and plan,
Then after shot I understand.But in between I shoot at will,
While world around is never still;
I shoot within Kaleidoscope –
The river moves my moving boat.navigation
