"Just Show Up"  (Sun Tzu 6:3) (Luke 21:9-36; Acts 1:6-7)

If it is true what that guy said,
That turning up (in book I read)
Is most of what a person needs,
If one is going to succeed –

Then Sun Tzu’s comment flavors it –
Emerge, Go forth, appear, a bit
Just off the mark of where they’ll bank
On you to show up with your tank.

Now that’s especially true if you
Go where they now must hasten to,
Or cannot go, or must defend –
You’re sure to drive them ’round the bend.

The race is on, move swiftly to
A place they’re not expecting you;
Don’t rush to meet them where they are,
They’ll be surprised you’d go that far.

Remember you can travel far
Without distress, for threats all are
Placed elsewhere – you’ll not be fatigued,
And you can go a thousand li –

If you will march through sparse terrain;
Few people there, so little pain –
Your adversaries give no fight,
For they are elsewhere – march all night –

If that is what you need to do
To make the others come to you;
Like tennis – play to other court,
And make them stretch at spy’s report.

Christ said that end-times will be such,
For no one knows the details much;
Just that it’s like a big surprise,
As we’re set free – for God is wise –

So like a SWAT team in the end,
Those Angel-legions God will send
(Or so the Scripture-writers wrote),
To whup the evil one (poor bloke!).
