The Race In-Sight

Lord, help me make it through this double-day,
Not let it slip, but make each moment pay;
I struggle most with me, not with my world,
Help me let go what’s other people’s load.

The dawn it comes, I see the lightening sky;
The dark pushed back, the world now fills my eye;
Help do this double-day as best I can,
That when it’s done I’ll know this race I ran.

Thanks for this image – double-day today;
I’ll pace myself, within Your love I’ll stay;
One hour now gone – a half by measurement
Within my head, as double-day is spent.

I hear Your word – the medicine’s clicked in,
And I’m released, new life can now begin;
“Just stay in me, son, you will be okay –
It’s all in hand; I see – I’ll show the way.

Thanks Lord for this.
