The A T Book Works

I made the payment, took the table home today,
Set it up, and put the printers there to stay;
Yes, it’s small, but it’s the corner I have turned,
As in Scripture, day of small things I’ve not spurned.

At the dentist, jostled dates to fix my teeth;
In the home, a phase of life we’re going to meet,
As an era passes, shifts to life above –
Farming days are gone, he slips away with love.

Christmas comes, with subtle changes that are seen;
Christmas tree has smaller choir than what has been;
Care is changing with the economic shift;
With Mandela gone, there’s still a racial rift.

Two more weeks until it’s Christmas Day once more;
Lots of work to do on walls, and sink, and floor;
In suspense is how I’d now describe our state –
Like the butterfly, where soon new life will break.

Thanks Lord.
