Recovery Of Sight To The Blind

The rhythms of the seasons let us start again each year;
Four times they shift and change which leaves a message that is clear –
“Just do your best, live out each day for thirteen weeks right now,
The quarters of each year bring opportunities – here’s how:

The winter starts things off for us with end to outside tasks;
We shovel snow, and sand our walks, as well as this and that;
But mostly we curl up and take things easy for a spell,
’Till spring arrives, invigorates, with sights and sounds and smells.

We plant our gardens in the spring, spruce up for summer days;
It’s landscape time, we set our stone in place where sunshine’s rays
Will dapple grassy areas for picnics in the sun,
But most of all the smells of earth make springtime days such fun.

In summer we make hay as farmers do while it is nice;
The longer days give time to play, together they suffice
To build us up for shorter days of autumn, winter time,
But summer is a precious time, for us it is sublime.

The autumn comes with harvest time and starting up our year;
We scurry ’round like animals who know that winter’s near;
Again the smells of fallen leaves brought out by autumn rains,
Invigorate as we prepare to cycle start again.

Each season brings new photographs with sight renewed in time,
One way God helps me see afresh this world that’s yours and mine;
Without the seasons I’d walk by so much of beauty ’round,
But here in land of ice and snow four times new sight is found.
