In All Our Beginnings

In the beginning –
In all our beginnings –
Was word,
Is word,
With God,
Is God –

Yet keeping up,
And keeping in
His love and grace
Is somewhat odd –

For as we move
And being have,
We are –
And that
Alone is
Often hard.

O Lord,
As I move on today,
As things restart
Come into play –

I pray Your grace
On all our lives,
That all might
Be –

Not just survive,
But flourish –
For all kinds
Of men
And women
When
There comes
The end.

For all things
End
Which start
In You,
And we move on
In all we do –
Just grant us peace
Within the fray,
As we live out
This coming day.
