Here It Comes

Ah! Here it comes – another day,
As lightening sky with warming ray
Of sunshine opens up my view
Of this new day of life with You.

Yes, it is lumpy – I’ll admit,
So many marks which must be hit;
So many sectors each with marks;
And parts of life where sectors start.

And so on ’till it’s out of sight,
In darkness hid throughout the night;
Light opens up small parts of life,
And bids us act while there is light.

For me, I reassess the scene –
Re-priorize – see what has been
Left far behind, and bring that up,
Thus move the line of tokens rough.

And so I move across the field,
My forward line of actions yield
Results, which vary through the day
’Till night comes in its quiet way.

Tomorrow I’ll bring up the rear –
Some task ignored, importance clear;
I’ve lived my life that way for years,
A steady march as target nears.

But what if line were gathered in,
With focus used, so we could win
In just one sector of our world,
Where victor’s flag might be unfurled?

And what if actions done each day
Made life efficient in their way –
Effective, over all to be
Events which lead to victory?

So, what would have the most effect
On operations I elect
To do today – within my scheme –
Which would a greater impact mean?

Clean up the mess, reduce the drag,
Smooth out effects where efforts lag;
For want of quick efficient acts,
Once way is seen amongst the facts.

As river mist now burns away,
I see the valley shape – today
Will be a day with sun and heat,
In which we’ll soon new challenge meet.

Lord, thanks for having me slowdown,
Take stock as now I look around
And ask, “How can efficiency
Be raised, to speed on victory?”

Thanks.
