Disgruntled Woman

“I hate it when a person turns to meddling in my life space,
Fixing me, or tuning up my life to look like them;
I would rather have a person view my life with distance,
Leaving me to drive my truck midst evil and my sin.

“I hate it when a person does their lifestyle as a plodder,
Moving slowly, indistinct, who cannot be nailed down;
I would rather have a person face their life with vigor,
Interacting, pacing life on basis that is sound.

“I like it when I’m able to engage folks as a person,
Giving life, and taking life, at arm’s length all throughout;
Not being told what I must do as if one were my mother,
But helping me arrive without my casting all about.”
