Whose Voice?

So when I own the media and have a lot to say,
What do I do with all that power when I’m engaged that way?
If I were from the culture here, I’d use it to control
The culture that’s around me now, for that would be my role.

My role as 'God', that is – you see two things are key to me,
And I require great stores of them so I can seem to be
Like God, who has two things I don’t – that’s resource to pour out,
And power to do the things I want – of that there's little doubt.

For I am weak, and have no cash to do my noble deeds;
I lack resource to help folks out and satisfy their needs;
So if I’m going to fake that role, I’ll use the power I seize,
Along with cash I apprehend to bring them to their needs.

It’s media I choose to use to get a culture to
Give power and resource back to me so I good works can do;
For power and money are the core of my religious view,
When I have lots of both I’ll look a lot like God to you.

One way to handle power is share it round with other folks,
Give access to the media, give voice to other blokes;
At least it lets the balance which resides in larger groups
Be felt within the media, without excessive loops.

Another way is boot both cash and power from central place;
Allow God back upon the throne of all our human race;
Then He can pour His power, resource, out to the culture ’round,
Then thanks to Him, through media, can flow in joyful sound.
