Through The Valley Floor
No fall through floor directionally,
As we through valley walk with Thee –
That’s different, Lord, as we walk on,
With beach of rocks and sand now gone.The first time I walked out this life,
Two kids, no job, no end in sight
To that first quest to find things out
(What glitch for church was all about) –It strained our walk together, Lord,
As I continued at Your Word;
You asked one time, “Which one’s your choice?”
“A double portion”, came my voice –You honored that, and Spirit gave
As we walked on – no more a slave
To this and that across the land,
But freed to live and under-stand.For many walk this walk alone
Out here, as in each quest they roam –
A deep desire within their hearts
Which drives them on to do their parts.And some of us had puny faith,
But found it stretched as we embraced
The task which bore our names out there,
With ones bound to our hearts as dear.You said to us, “Fear not, my friend,
I’ll get you there if you’ll not bend
Except into the wind you face,
For home you are in my embrace –“You’re not alone, there’s lots I’ve sent
To help you out; to let you vent;
To ease the way (not all, but some),
That you to end of quest might come.“Just look around and you will see
Amazing grace supplied to thee –
‘Through many dangers toils and snares’
Springs now to life through these affairs.“Parts of your trip you’ll walk alone,
And parts with others in your home;
Some friends, coworkers, each plug-in
Their piece from Me – that you might win.“For as you walk the floor with Me,
With heat oppressive as can be,
You’ll learn what’s needed later on
When all supports have long since gone.“Plan A is real – ‘go there, my son
And see the battle plan be done’;
Plan B is also true and real –
That fallen tree with which you deal.“Go over, under, ’round it, through;
Do what you feel that you must do
So you can move towards Plan A,
Enriched by what you’ve learned this way.If you were to press on from here
And do Plan A without a fear,
You’d not succeed – this diverts not –
For you this is the course you’ve got.“It’s what some further school would do,
For that would strip the dross from you,
And set you free to be a boss –
But that for you would be a loss –“For you this road will do just fine
For task (Plan A) I have in mind;
So enter in the struggle here,
The stress is high – for end is near.”navigation
