Living In The Present
I stopped the car then stopped this guy,
And looked around, asked what’s my “Why?”
I saw that tree outside the church,
And knew which task for me was first –“What if the problem was”, indeed,
“I had not grasped,” in what I see
“With firmness all the beauty of
This life” – expressions of God’s love.For there it was once more for me,
This time in beauty of that tree;
Its massive boughs and scraggly twigs –
I’d walked right by, yet thought I’d lived.Yet if I don’t perceive this world,
Grasp every precious golden curl,
How can I share with other folks
Such things as photographic jokes?I’m busy sweating up a storm
Of things not heeded when I warned;
So hard for me to be outside
The active front where they reside.Resourced inclusion – recipe
For what says “I love you” to me;
I neither have – it’s like a joke –
Once others learn – it’s up in smoke.But then Your word comes back to me –
“Resourced inclusion’s clear to see
If you look up, not sideways, Stu,
It’s there, from Me – I’ll see you through”.Thanks Lord for that, indeed that’s great;
Thanks, as I now anticipate
Great things in ways beyond belief,
As You through others give relief.Perhaps that’s how it works – through me –
Connections start and come to be
Significant, enriching deep within –
Some lives through structured discipline.navigation
