Rewards (Sun Tzu 2:9) (Matthew 6:1-24; Hebrews 10:32-39; Revelation Chapter 1-3)

Great rewards for capture of their stuff,
Made worthwhile, will motivate enough
To rush out and seize both far and near,
Advantages embedded in their gear.

Spoils and profits, booty they will seize;
Goods and chattels turned to meet their needs;
As rewards equipment works just fine;
Valued goods ensure they’ll cross the line.

Catch desires for wealth to their account;
They will fight so later they can flout
Treasure seized, with honor or by stealth –
Both are used if it results in wealth.

Chariots engaged in battle keen
Is one place rewards can sometimes mean
Greater effort – offer your reward,
“First to capture ten with bow or sword”.

Or, “The first of ten some group collects”;
Or, ten-chariot-unit – boss selects;
“Ten or more, advance three ranks, receive
This reward of spoils from victory”.

Jesus spoke a lot of God’s rewards,
Given out for service to our Lord;
Some folks think it’s all just charity,
Scripture says – “Push through – reward you’ll see”.
