YaDaYaDaYaDa...Whump (Numbers 6:22-27)

YaDa,YaDa,YaDa,YaDa, went the preacher on his stump,
’Till he said the benediction, then it hit me with a whump;
“May the Lord bless you and keep you”, like Aaronic days of yore,
“Make His face shine down upon you”– said it as folks hit the door.

“Lift His countenance upon you”, he said quickly at the end,
“Give you peace” he then concluded – quickly – few could comprehend;
But I heard those words – so ancient – as they flooded o’er my soul –
’Twas the piece God had arranged to give so I’d be sure to know –

That He cared, and knew that for this week which lies before me now,
He’d be there to love and guide me, raising up directions how
To proceed through tricky waters – keep perspective from above –
Lest it all for naught dissolve – this little enterprise of love.

Thanks Michael.
