Jericho In Jordan’s Crossing

Which days of your life speeding by this way,
Will you in forever recall and say,
“Now that one was special – it stands right out –
A day among days, it remains, no doubt”?

I can’t say today will be one of them,
But better it was as things slowly bend;
A tough crowd to open and enter in;
A group which is tight-knit – where to begin?

“Go slowly, walk silently ’round the wall,
Though it looks quite solid and ten feet tall;
Though gates are formidable, locked up tight,
God gives us the victory when time is right.

For often our attitude, outlook, slang,
Will mess up a project, objectives hang;
Just like Jeremiah with lips unclean,
Success slips away ’cause of where we’ve been.

So, hush up your chatter, let silence reign;
God still is engaging, He has not changed;
Let silence speak louder than endless chat;
Persistence – the snail entered Ark like that.

Will you hear, “Well done”, or “Well, kid, you’re done”?
For all flags are checkered when race is run
Without competition – for mean and mean
Have fallen behind as your self is seen.

It all boils down to your why and how,
So lead with you why, and embrace your now;
The how of your waiting rests on one thing –
The what you await – base of mood you bring.

So shift preposition from on to in;
Stop thinking on justice, in it begin
To walk to your future, embody it;
For thus God will make you Supremely fit.
