God’s Jar Of Maple Syrup

“Every time you use that maple syrup,
Think about the source from which it came –
Life for life, and joy to situations,
All in all a wonderful exchange.

“Stretch it out, don’t splurge at the beginning;
Savor it just like the other end –
Takes two years for seed to start producing,
Bumper crop in me comes at the end.

“Really doesn’t matter the reaction –
Words like seeds were planted, they took root;
People like a crop right when it’s planted,
Full grown ears – no use for tiny shoots.

“So My friend, it’s four more months till harvest,
Then they’ll see what patient work can do;
Turn stampedes by running with the cattle;
‘This and that’ so I can work through you.”
