As Day Breaks
So here we are at break of day,
Just as there seemed to be no way
To move on forward 'cross the ice
Things shift in ways that are quite nice –A job appears; an email comes;
A light turns on; the van now runs;
A link to one who knows this stuff;
“Just take the step – one step’s enough” –Is what emerges in my mind;
The fees are handled – paid in kind;
The books get done (for company);
NVivo codes up poetry.An image of a dip in land,
Where kids now slide as parents stand
Along the rim – a catchment dip
For me a way to act our trip –For we met up at top of hill,
Then hand-in-hand, descended till
We reached the level bottom plane,
Which we now walk, then rise again.For you’d been on adjacent tower;
Come down, across, just at the hour
We set about our bedrock search,
To lay a firm foundation first.It takes a while to rebuild life,
To ease from darkness into light;
But you said, Lord, each life out there
Is worthy of unceasing care.So here in hours before the dawn,
I’m grateful for the path I’m on;
A new adventure here for me –
Come on, let’s see what there's to see.navigation
