“So, Who Owns The System?” (Reflection on B.H.’s comment/observation of the Manitoba Health Care System, And Eye Situation)

A friend of mine got right up close
To health-care system with no voice
To do the task assigned to her;
On entering, it seemed a blur.

But over time, she found her feet,
And others there, out on the street
She’d recognize as one of group –
Like vegetables in veggie-soup.

She had a nose for “who’s in charge?”
But found that all were “folks at large” –
Like all of us are, in a truck
At sixty clicks, who trust in luck.

For nobody was driving beast!
It seemed like medics (that soon ceased);
Health District? No, more puppets they –
Nor government, though with more sway.

So many giants stocked the land,
Each running part, you understand,
Not whole – more like economy –
Where “unseen hand” was thought to be –

What governed all our moneyed life,
While theories flowed, and endless strife
Affected all – despite the rules
Made up by felons, knaves, and fools.

So, who holds sway in health of land
Of plenty, where, you understand,
New tool called “AI” rises up
And speaks when we don’t know enough.

The Yanks say keep a “balanced” power
Among us all, lest things go sour,
As some would sway dynamics loose
Their way – thus cooking up our goose.

Thanks Holy Spirit for this.
